Ronald McDonald House Charities® Selects Convio to Attract More Donors and Increase Online Fundraising

Global Charitable Organization Will Use Market-Leading Internet Tools to Build Strong Relationships with Constituents and Drive Donations

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC®), whose mission is to directly improve the health and well-being of children around the world, has selected Convio Internet tools to build a larger base of constituents and boost its online fundraising.

Convio is the leading provider of software and services that help nonprofits use the Internet for building strong constituent relationships to drive fundraising, marketing, advocacy and other forms of mission-critical support.

To date, RMHC has been funded primarily through corporate donors and major gifts as well as special events and fundraising campaigns. The charity, already raising money online, now will use Convio Fundraising Center (http://www.convio.com/fundraising) to optimize its use of the Internet as an additional, significant fundraising channel.

Convio tools will enable RMHC to communicate with online donors regularly and in a personalized manner. The charity will keep online constituents informed about its mission and work through online newsletters and frequent email updates. Regular communications engage constituents, encourage giving and also foster loyalty.

As part of its new Internet initiative, RMHC will integrate its offline and online activities to drive more people to its Web site, www.rmhc.org, for registering and donating. The charity will continue to promote the site through existing offline communication channels including donated and in-kind advertising, direct mail to current offline donors, and on-site signage and collateral at McDonald’s restaurants and events worldwide. Additionally, RMHC will benefit from online components to World Children’s Day at McDonald’s, a global fundraising event for RMHC and other children’s causes, as well as the McDonald’s LPGA Championship and other annual fundraising campaigns and events sponsored by corporate partners.
