Convio Names Sara Spivey Chief Marketing Officer

Successful Marketing Executive to Drive Company’s Growth and Extend Leadership Position in Nonprofit Software and Services Market

Convio, Inc. – the leading provider of on-demand constituent relationship management software and services to nonprofit organizations – today announced Sara Spivey has joined the company as chief marketing officer.

As the Company’s first chief marketing officer, Spivey is responsible for leading and overseeing Convio's marketing efforts including branding, advertising, product marketing, product management, corporate communications, online properties and new media initiatives, as well as  supporting client communication, retention and loyalty programs.

Spivey brings more than 20 years of marketing, strategy and leadership experience with established global technology leaders to Convio. A 1982 graduate of University of California, Davis, Spivey also earned an MBA from The Amos Tuck School of Business Administration, Dartmouth College in 1989. Most recently Spivey served as vice president, marketing and business development at rPath, Inc.  Prior to that she was vice president, Worldwide Sales, Strategic Account Alliance Development for Advanced Micro Devices in Sunnyvale, CA. Spivey began her career  with Hewlett-Packard before joining Quantum Corporation where she held a number of roles including vice president, marketing for the network attached storage division.
