Convio Recognizes Innovator Award Recipients at Nonprofit Summit 2010

Fourteen Nonprofit Organizations Honored for Creativity and Innovation in Constituent Relationship Management, Online Marketing, Fundraising and Advocacy at Fifth Annual Conference

Convio, Inc., (NASDAQ: CNVO) today announced the winners of its fifth annual Innovator Awards as revealed at a ceremony today at the Convio Summit, the company’s annual conference where more than 1000 nonprofit clients, partners and industry thought leaders gather as a community to share common experiences and effective strategies for nonprofits. The Innovator Awards recognize clients who have shown innovation and achievement through the use of Convio’s online software and services to better engage supporters to help fulfill their missions.

Fourteen nonprofits received Innovator Awards and were recognized in categories including Best Overall Use of Convio, Best Online Fundraising Campaign, Best Email Communications, Best Integrated Marketing Campaign, Best List Growth, Best Website, Best Advocacy Campaign, Best Special Events Fundraising, Best Peer-to-Peer Fundraising, Best Use of New Media, Best Use of Convio Open, Common Ground CRM Visionary, and Applying CRM to Manage Your Mission. Best Overall Use of Convio
Two winners were selected in the Best Overall Use of Convio category to represent the various sizes and budgets of Convio clients.

RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association (RESOLVE), a national, nonprofit, working to improve the lives of people with infertility, was presented with an Innovator Award in the Best Overall Use of Convio category for their effective use of a wide range of Convio products to further their mission including Convio CMS, Fundraising, Advocacy, Email, and Common Ground for their donor database. The organization has achieved remarkable results using this combination of Convio tools to improve their website, promote fundraising initiatives, and get people involved in advocacy issues. http://resolve.org/

Church World Service, a nonprofit organization that works with partners to eradicate hunger and poverty and promote peace and justice among the world's most vulnerable people, was presented with an Innovator Award in the Best Overall Use of Convio category for how effectively they take advantage of many Convio services and products to improve the success and efficiency of their online programs. http://www.churchworldservice.org

Best Online Fundraising Campaign
Pathfinder International, a nonprofit dedicated to improving reproductive health around the world, was presented with an Innovator Award in the Best Online Fundraising Campaign category for their “Two Months, Twice the Difference” matching gift fundraising campaign, which raised $34,060 in 60 days. http://www.pathfind.org

Best Email Communications
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), the largest animal rights organization in the world, was presented with an Innovator Award in the Best Email Communications category for its strategic use of email to create stronger relationships with its constituents and engage them effectively with content that speaks to their personal interests. http://www.peta.org

Best Integrated Marketing Campaign
Alzheimer’s Association, the leading U.S. voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care, support and research, was presented with an Innovator Award in the Best Integrated Marketing Campaign category for their successful marketing campaign to promote the organization’s Action Summit 2010. http://www.alz.org

Best List Growth
Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, the nation's largest trails organization dedicated to connecting people and communities by creating a nationwide network of public trails, many from former rail lines and connecting corridors, was presented with an Innovator Award in the Best List Growth category for using a variety of online technologies strategically to recruit new members and supporters. http://www.railstotrails.org

Best Website
The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation’s largest animal protection group, was presented with an Innovator Award in the Best Website category for their site’s compelling design, effective use of visuals to promote content and engage users, and innovative navigation. http://www.humanesociety.org/

Best Advocacy Campaign
Founded in 1910, the Dumb Friends League is a national leader in providing humane care to lost and abandoned animals, rescuing sick, injured and abused animals, adopting pets to new homes, helping pets stay in homes, and educating pet owners and the public about the needs of companion animals. Best Special Events Fundraising
American Cancer Society, a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem, was presented with an Innovator Award in the Special Events Fundraising category for successfully creating and executing a series of online strategies and tactics for their Making Strides Against Breast Cancer fundraising event. http://www.cancer.org

Best Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Campaign
