Convio Go! Offers Nonprofit Professionals 31 CFRE Credits

Nonprofit professionals can now grow their career, fundraising efforts and organization with Convio Go!

Convio today announced that nonprofit professionals who fully participate in Convio Go! the company’s cohort-based online fundraising and marketing program, can apply for 31.0 points in Category 1.B – Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.

“It is exciting to know our organizational investment in the Go! program serves as an investment in my professional development and career at no extra cost,” said Miranda Zink, Development  Director for A Kid Again (www.akidagain.org). “Online expertise has become a fundamental aspect of the modern development office. We are proof that today’s development professional can’t leave the online channel to marketing and IT alone. With Go! we have quadrupled the amount raised online, nearly doubled our email list and more than doubled the amount of money we raised per subscriber, plus, I am much closer to my CFRE certification.”

About Convio Go!

Convio Go! provides access to Convio's online fundraising and marketing tools and consultants to guide the nonprofit professional through their online programs. The program leverages Convio’s fundraising, email marketing and content management modules along with best practices and research to help nonprofit organizations build the foundation for their future online strategy.

The CFRE credits are earned by attending regular cohort-based training programs with services team members and other Go! clients to learn best practices and techniques around:

  • Email list(s) growth
  • New opt-in cultivation
  • Prospect conversion
  • Building recurring donor programs
  • Executing year-end fundraising campaigns

“Convio Go! provides nonprofit organizations with the ability to develop and expand their expertise through a learning environment that delivers educational and fundraising results,” said Marc Cannon, vice president of services for Convio. With CFRE credit at no additional cost, time spent engaging donors and raising funds will also bring the nonprofit professional closer to certification with the premier organization in the industry.”

“As I approach the five years of professional experience needed to apply for CFRE certification, the announcement that my Go! experience will help me earn my certification means a great deal to me and my colleagues,” added Zink.  “Now, at my local Association of Fundraising Professionals meetings when the conversation turns to online, people immediately look to me for my input. We are seen as leaders even though we are a smaller nonprofit.”
