Convio Expands Common Ground With Fundraising and Volunteer Management Enhancements and Constituent Self-Service

Common Ground allows nonprofit professionals to focus on delivering mission and fundraising results, as well as provides self-service tools to constituents to manage their engagement

Convio, Inc. (Nasdaq: CNVO), today introduced new features and enhancements for Convio Common Ground™ that help nonprofit organizations raise funds and better manage and support their constituent relationship programs. Additionally, donors, volunteers and other supporters now have the ability to enter and update their own information, print out gift receipts, update recurring gifts, even manage the date that gifts are charged to their credit card. Common Ground gives small- to mid-sized nonprofit organizations one powerful, yet easy-to-use platform to manage relationships with all their supporters -- whether online or offline while saving both the constituent and organization time and money.

“With Common Ground, we can bring all of our constituent and communications information together to provide our donors, volunteers and other supporters with an integrated experience that allows them to have more personal control of the their impact on our mission,” said Ron Marullo, executive director for the Humane Society of Williamson County. “The continued development and expansion of Common Ground is helping us rapidly meet milestones in our ability to reach and inspire donors and engage in relationships with other supporters. The addition of honor and memorial functionality, and simple recurring giving forms are particularly important to our fundraising success and future growth.”

Common Ground Fundraising and Volunteer Management Enhancements:

With form enhancements for online fundraising nonprofits can now:

  • Publish forms for sustained giving,

  • Make it easier for donors to designate gifts,

  • Make gifts in honor of, or in memorial to a person, pet or other entity,

  • Create customized forms to meet their unique organizational needs.

With Common Ground volunteer management enhancements nonprofits can now:

  • Manage recurring and multi-day job shifts,

  • Identify and segment volunteers,

  • Empower online shift sign-up.

“Common Ground was designed with and for professionals at small-  and mid-sized nonprofits to help overcome the resource constraints and challenges they face,” Said Tom Krackeler, Convio vice president, Common Ground. “The new release also includes a supporter center, which allows constituents to go online and better manage their relationship with the organization through a safe and secure portal.”

Common Ground Supporter Center

Constituents can now be given safe and secure access to a password protected portal to:

  • Print receipts for all gifts – online and offline

  • Update and manage recurring gift amounts and timing of gifts

  • View and update personal information

  • View and update communication preferences

  • View their engagement and volunteer history.

“For many nonprofit organizations their volunteer information, donor data and other important business information resides in disparate systems, making integration and coordination of people, resources and mission-critical information difficult and costly,” added Krackeler.  "They often lack the resources to update and manage data, so having constituents manage their own relationship and information can save time and money, as well as improve the quality of the relationship. Common Ground brings all this important information together in an easy-to-use and accessible system so the nonprofit professional can best utilize their available resources to fulfill their mission.”
