Convio, Inc. Completes Another Record Quarter, Increases Year-Over-Year Revenue by More Than 60 Percent

Convio, Inc. — the leading provider of on-demand software and services that help nonprofits use the Internet for building strong constituent relationships and driving support — today announced that second quarter revenue was more than 60 percent higher than revenue generated in the same quarter last year. Convio's significant revenue growth is attributable to strong customer acquisition — the company gained more new customers during the second quarter of 2006 than any other quarter in the company's history.

"We continue to see clear indications that validate Convio's position as a strong market leader," said Gene Austin, CEO, Convio, Inc. "In addition to record customer acquisition and rising demand for Convio's software, nonprofits increasingly are retaining our consulting services, which also contributed significantly to our strong second quarter revenue growth."

More than 600 organizations from diverse segments of the nonprofit sector now use Convio's market-leading online constituent relationship management (eCRM) solution. New customers acquired during Q2 2006 include many of the most influential U.S. organizations, among them, America's Second Harvest - The Nation's Food Bank Network, National Wildlife Federation, United Negro College Fund and Sierra Club.

Also during the second quarter, Convio announced an important partnership with Heller Consulting. Heller is the nation's largest and most experienced independent consulting firm with a specialization in helping nonprofits optimize their use of Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge®* database, the most commonly used donor database in the nonprofit sector. The partnership is Convio's latest move to help address the growing need among nonprofits to effectively integrate their online and offline data, which is key for conducting successful marketing and fundraising programs.

Additionally, registrations for Convio's inaugural customer conference, October 23-24 in Washington, DC, are well ahead of schedule, suggesting that nonprofit professionals recognize Convio as a valuable source of information and expertise as well as the thought leader in online fundraising. The Convio Customer Summit 2006 will feature company experts, partners and leading nonprofit groups with sessions focused on helping organizations become more effective at fulfilling their missions through strategic use of the Internet.

"Quarter after quarter, Convio keeps proving that it is the company leading the marketplace," said George Spencer, Partner, Adams Street Partners, a Convio investor and one of the world's largest managers of private equity investments. "Convio's clear commitment to the nonprofit sector coupled with its unrivaled on-demand software and services offering has positioned the company far ahead of the other companies trying to play in this space. In Convio, we see all the signs of a business poised for continued success."
