Convio Enhances Online Fundraising Suite for Social Optimization and Improved Data Management
Austin, Texas (July 7, 2010) —
Convio (Nasdaq: CNVO), a leading provider of on-demand constituent engagement solutions for nonprofit organizations, today announced a new version of its online marketing, fundraising and advocacy suite that takes advantage of industry standards and Convio’s open architecture to make it easier for a nonprofits’ constituents to leverage social media and social sharing technologies. The new features make it easier for constituents to make donations, take action alerts or participate in events through their social networks. Convio is also introducing industry-leading, Automated Duplicate Management and Clean Data mechanisms that make it easier for nonprofits to integrate the large volumes of new constituent data that Convio enables organizations to capture.
“As donors and other constituents engage with nonprofits through more channels, optimizing their experience and meeting their expectations for choice, usability and sharing is becoming critical to on-going engagement,” said Gene Austin, CEO of Convio. “At the same time nonprofits are managing more relationships and data than ever before, so the quality of that data is critical to their success. The newest version of Convio Online Fundraising and Marketing suite empowers constituents to leverage their social networks to engage more deeply, while making it easier and more efficient for the nonprofit to keep data clean and synchronized regardless of the engagement channel.”
Additional new Convio Open APIs will allow nonprofits to create unique web experiences for Convio advocacy campaigns or Convio Custom Interactions, as well as provide a better, more integrated, constituent web experience for clients using popular Web content management systems like Drupal, Wordpress and Joomla.
“Close to one million API calls have been made to Convio by partner or client applications alone, while the Donation API was called more than 120 thousand times in the last three months,” said Gary Allison, Vice President of Engineering for Convio. “These results show the value of a modern, open software platform to nonprofits that want to engage event participants, donors, and advocates through social and mobile channels as well as make it easier to integrate with other sites on the web to inspire and engage more people.”
