AFP Announces Strategic Relationship With Convio

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the largest community of fundraising professionals in the world, has announced a new strategic relationship with Convio, Inc., a leading provider of on-demand constituent engagement software and services to nonprofit organizations.

Convio is the first organization to join AFP’s Strategic Sponsorship program. The sponsorship program supports the work of the association in providing comprehensive knowledge and skills that fundraisers need in today’s constantly changing philanthropic environment, and in advancing the fundraising profession around the world.

“AFP and Convio are both committed to helping nonprofits address and overcome the world’s most pressing challenges,” said Paulette V. Maehara, CFRE, CAE, president and CEO of AFP.  “That’s one of the reasons why we are so pleased to welcome Convio aboard as our first Strategic Sponsor. AFP greatly appreciates Convio’s strong, ongoing support of philanthropy and ethical fundraising, and we look forward to a relationship that is highly beneficial to the fundraising community.”

“AFP and Convio share the common goals of supporting ethical and effective philanthropy and providing fundraising professionals with current resources and best practices to connect people with their causes,” said Sara Spivey, chief marketing officer for Convio. “We are pleased to begin this strategic relationship with such an esteemed organization that has served the fundraising community for more than 50 years and look forward to helping nonprofits to evaluate and evolve their approach to fundraising for years to come.”
