The Client
Nature Canada is a member-based non-profit conservation organization. The organization's network includes 40,000 supporters and more than 350 naturalist organizations across Canada. Nature Canada’s mission is to protect and conserve wildlife and habitats in Canada by engaging people and advocating on behalf of nature.

The Problem
Nature Canada needed to grow its online constituent base and boost website traffic.

How We Solved It
Nature Canada worked with Convio Services team to develop an acquisition program and email cultivation series. For the acquisition program, a petition campaign on's online community was used. SEM was also conducted to draw traffic to multiple landing pages on Nature Canada's website. In parallel, Convio managed the design, copywriting, and implementation of a three-part email cultivation series, which consisted of both advocacy and fundraising "asks."

The Outcome
The acquisition program led to 100% growth in Nature Canada’s email file within a four month period. The email campaign, which yielded open rates of 38.13% and action rates of 5.78%, showed great promise with an active and engaged base of supporters.
